Since their invention, trucks have almost always been used to cart away waste. In 1937, George Dempster invented the Dempster-Dumpster in which wheeled waste containers were mechanically dumped into the beds of trucks. In 1938, Garwood Load Packer introduced a hydraulic press to compact the waste. In this sound, you can hear a modern fusion of both revolutionary inventions. Around the world, dumpster trucks are also referred to as trash trucks, bin wagons, dustcarts, dustbin lorries, bin lorries, and bin motors.
